The final paint colour is only the visible part of the project. The real work happens underneath: sourcing, preparation, engineering, body restoration, mechanical installation, interior craftsmanship, testing and final detailing.

Before You Commission

Questions People Ask Before Building An FJ.

Do I need to already own an FJ40?

No. A project can begin with the specification you want and the search for a suitable donor vehicle can form part of the process.

Can I choose a different specification from the configurator?

Yes. The configurator presents the core Tough Terrain choices, but a bespoke project can include additional requirements subject to feasibility.

Can I choose between FJ40, FJ43 and FJ45?

The configurator includes short-wheelbase FJ40, long-wheelbase FJ43 and FJ45 pickup routes, allowing the project to start with the body style that best suits you.

Can the completed vehicle be shipped internationally?

International transport can be coordinated. Import, approval, tax and registration requirements vary by destination and should be checked for the country where the vehicle will ultimately be used.

Is the price shown final?

The configurator provides an estimated build value based on the selected options. A final quotation depends on the donor vehicle, specification, availability and any additional bespoke work.
