From military service to civilian utility and ultimately an international off-road icon, the basic Jeep formula continued to evolve for decades.
Ford GPW
Produced alongside the Willys during World War II, sharing the engineering philosophy and battlefield capability that made the platform legendary.
CJ-2A
The first major civilian interpretation of the wartime platform, bringing four-wheel-drive utility into farms, industry and everyday working life.
CJ-3A
A refined civilian version that developed the original Jeep concept while retaining its rugged, purposeful simplicity.
CJ-3B
Recognisable by its high bonnet, the CJ-3B became one of the most internationally influential Jeep designs and would later play a major role in India.
CJ-5
Its rounded body and compact wheelbase created one of the most recognisable recreational 4x4 designs of the era.
CJ-6
The stretched counterpart to the CJ-5, providing additional passenger and cargo space while retaining the familiar Jeep identity.
